Hi, I’m Kristi Goins, founder of InnerShift Consulting.
I work with organizations to create internal communication and change strategies that support dispersed and deskless teams.
Frontline employees keep businesses running, whether they’re on the floor, out in the field, or on the move. Yet, they’re often the last to know about decisions that impact their daily work. Many corporate initiatives are designed for desk-based teams, using tools and timelines that don’t match the realities of frontline jobs.
When communication doesn’t reach people in the right way, organizations miss out on insights, projects slow down, morale drops, and turnover goes up. The gap between corporate plans and frontline reality keeps growing.
This challenge matters to me on a personal level. Several of my family members work in the trades, putting in long hours with limited connectivity and little free time. I’ve seen how changes that affect their work often come from corporate teams who don’t fully understand what happens on the ground or the time and access issues they face. That disconnect taught me how easily good intentions can cause problems, and how much better things get when frontline voices are truly included.
I help organizations get more value by focusing on the voices, needs, and challenges of their dispersed teams. I use workforce listening programs, frontline communication audits, and practical change strategies to turn complex projects into clear, useful steps that work for non-desk environments. This approach leads to insights that boost retention, improve alignment, and help new initiatives succeed.
With experience in hospitality, biotech, software, and food distribution, I support projects like technology rollouts (CRM, HRIS, procurement, mobile-first intranets), organizational changes (M&A, IPO readiness, restructuring), and HR programs (benefit transitions, onboarding redesigns, equity launches). In every project, I focus on involving employees early, making communication simple, building easy feedback loops, and creating clarity throughout each stage of change. When frontline employees feel respected and heard, organizations see better operational and cultural outcomes.
If you want to close the gap between corporate strategy and frontline reality, I’m here to help.
